Horseback Rides

Every summer, our horseback rides are unrivaled in the Vail Valley because of the meticulous care we take of our guests, horses and trails. Experience all that the Colorado Rockies has to offer in an amazing outdoor experience second to none. On our trails you'll see native flora to the Vail Valley, the clearest water traveling to the ocean from the Continental Divide, gorgeous pine forests, wild animals and birds in their natural environment, and tranquil meadows. Beaver Creek Lake Ride:

Our most celebrated and popular ride to Beaver Creek Lake is an extraordinary way to experience the Colorado Rockies on your vacation in the Vail Valley. You'll need a full day to experience the magnificence of Beaver Creek's amazing and incomparable views, and it's all worth it. You'll follow Beaver Creek all the way to Beaver Lake. After this relaxing 1 and a half hour ride, you'll be comforted by our experienced wranglers with a delicious catered lunch and have time to experience the beauty and peacefulness of mountain life, before riding for an hour back to the stables. Relax, enjoy and savor this horseback riding experience with Beaver Creek Stables that is unrivaled anywhere. Reservations required 24 hours in advance, includes lunch. $170 per person

Three Hour Picnic Ride:

This ride is one of the most unique outdoor experiences offered in the Vail Valley. You'll be taken to the top of Beaver Creek Mountain and enjoy a catered deli lunch in a quiet meadow where birds and regional flora abound. Explore (carefully and respectfully) places in the Colorado Rockies in a setting unreachable by foot and untouched by humanity. Feel nature's splendor as you ride through creeks, aspen groves, sage hillsides and pine forests. Reservations required 24 hours in advance, includes lunch. $120 per person

Two Hour Horseback Ride:

Our two hour horseback ride on Beaver Creek Mountain brings you full circle to the eastern hillside of Beaver Creek Mountain and back. At the top of the ridge, riders enjoy breathtaking views of the Gore Range, Vail Mountain's back bowls, and Beaver Creek Mountain. You'll experience on of the most untouched natural environments in Colorado on your vacation. $85 per person

One Hour Horseback Ride:

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, outdoor activity but don't have a lot of time, our signature One Hour ride is for you! You'll have the same amazing outdoor experience as our two and three hour rides and still make it to lunch or dinner at your favorite restaurant in Vail or Beaver Creek. Available at Beaver Creek or Piney River Ranch. Reservations recommended. $65 per person

Horseback Riding Lessons:

If you would like to hone up on your horseback riding skills, we offer lessons for beginner to intermediate riders. We strive to make every rider's experience fun and enjoyable while achieving their own personal horsemanship goals, whatever they may be. Available at Beaver Creek or Piney River Ranch. Reservations recommended. $60 per person

Pony Rides:

Little cowboys and cowgirls can take a spin on the ponies at either the Piney River Ranch stable or the Beaver Creek Mountain stable between 10 am and 2 pm. Parents lead children under age 6 around the small corral and have plenty of chances for great photos for their aspiring wranglers! No reservation needed.
